Intermediate School Trip!

We spent some time Thursday on a tour of the Intermediate School! We got to meet Mr. Murphy, Mr. Bondy, some of the teachers and toured the whole school! Our final activity was meeting with some fourth grade students who shared books they had written for us. Their books were titled How to Survive Fourth Grade. This trip made us excited about going to fourth grade next year!!

Chapin Forest

Literacy Day

Literacy Day is about Middle Schoolers meeting up with Third Graders. The Middle Schoolers made books for their third grade buddy and the third graders read at least 1 chapter from the book they are reading to the Middle Schooler. At the end the third graders got a book that their Middle Schooler book buddy wrote. It was a TON of fun! By, Ben

iPod Touch Lesson

Click hereto see a short video of us using our iPod Touches! We created a Podcast of the poem "American's Baseball," by Gina Hodges. We then downloaded the poem onto our iPod Touches and listened to ourselves!! We had a blast!!!

Junior Achievement with Mr.Sadowski

In our class we have Junior Achievement with Mr.Sadowski!!!! He teaches about the city and much more!!!! In the picture abuve we built a city. We have so much fun!!!!:)

iPod Touches!!

Take a look at our new iPod Touches we have at Gurney!! They were donated to us through the Toney Family Foundation!!! We are so excited to see all of the things we can do with these devices. Today we practiced our multiplication facts!! It was so fun...we love them!!

Biography Photostory Projects

We have worked on our Photostory projects for the past two months in combination with Mrs. Andreas' class. In small groups, the students read about a famous person, completed a graphic organizer and then wrote a script for their Photostory. Each group then looked for pictures online, practiced their scripts and then recorded the audio to go along with their pictures. The results are amazing!! We hope that you will learn a lot about our famous people!

Reading Passages

Gia is doing the 4th grade reading passage!The reason we are doing 4th grade passages is because were doing so good we think were going to get more than ready. I think we will rock this test!!!

This is a computer in our classroom. We like to play on WWW.cool math.com.. We have assigned days. We only get to be on the computer once a week. We have 4 computers in our classroom. We take care the computer. WE LOVE COMPUTER!

Silent Time

 

Silent time is a time when you can draw, read, rest, and so mutch more. You can go almost anywhere in the room. It is called silent time because you have to be silent. Silent time is meant for you to calm down for 15 minutes after lunch. We love silent time!

Silent Work Time

We are working on silent work.
We are very hard workers.
We have lots of work to finish.
